Affiliation with the Keokuk Area Community Foundation
The Community Foundation of Des Moines County has officially become an affiliate of the Keokuk Area Community Foundation.
“Partnering with The Keokuk Area Community Foundation through this affiliation strengthens both of our work,” said Jason Hutcheson, President of The Community Foundation of Des Moines County. “It gives us access to new community networks and philanthropic knowledge that will help us work together to connect donors to the causes they care about in Des Moines County.”
Becoming an affiliate will continue to allow the Community Foundation of Des Moines County to offer the Endow Iowa Tax Credit. The Endow Iowa Tax Credit allows taxpayers to receive a 25% Iowa tax credit, in addition to normal federal charitable income tax deductions for gifts made to permanent endow funds that benefit Iowa charitable causes.
“The Keokuk Area Community Foundation is committed to expanding our reach into charitable giving throughout the Tri-State Area,” said Roger R. Ricketts, Executive Director of The Keokuk Area Community Foundation. “Working together with The Community Foundation of Des Moines County, we look forward to building on their 10 years of experience to increase philanthropic impacts all across Des Moines County.”
The Community Foundation of Des Moines County’s mission has been to connect donors and philanthropists with the causes they care about most, and ensure their contributions will continue to grow the Des Moines County far into the future.
