The Community Foundation of Des Moines County is governed by a local Board of Directors active in our local communities. Our board sets policy and makes final grant decisions. All members are volunteers serving a maximum of 6 years. Our staff can help assist you in building and preserving enduring assets for charitable purposes in our community.

Art Center of Burlington + Capitol Theater
Chair
Through the Art Center and the Capitol Theater, I strive to enrich our community’s art and cultural experience. As George Bernard Shaw once said, “Without art, the crudeness of reality would make the world unbearable.” In addition to helping champion the arts, I created 100+ Like Minds to help bring women together and stem positive change in the community through raising money for our Community Impact Fund.
